“AI Has Changed Everything” — Denias Nevin on AI Music, Independence, and the Future of Creativity

What was the original creative spark behind your song and why did you choose to tell this story using AI?

Denias Nevin: This song was deeply personal to me. I wouldn’t call it a spark necessarily, more of a deep longing to tell anyone that feels like they have no one, that they are not alone. It’s for all the people that feel invisible. Like they don’t matter. Like no one cares. It’s a message that anyone that feels like they don’t have anyone, they have me. Even if not physically there I offer whatever I can even if it’s just a few positive words in song. They are me. We are we. If I can make just one person feel better I am happy. AI has been my chosen medium for a few months now. I come from a traditional song writers background and I found that if you communicate to the AI the same way you would communicate to an actual singer, in the language of music, the results are staggering. I am doing thing’s that I feel are incredible things in AI music. It’s a VERY exciting time to be alive!

How did working with AI change your role as a musician, artist, or storyteller during the process?

Denias Nevin: AI has changed EVERYTHING. It’s simplified, concise. Sessions that used to take 9 hours now take 9 minutes. I began using AI in my sessions as a demo template for artists. But I began to see that not only would it take the artists hours and hours to replicate the AI output I generated in minutes, but many of the artists couldn’t at all! That’s when I began to think maybe I should be working with the AI artist instead.

Where did you feel most in control of the work, and where did the technology surprise you?

Denias Nevin: I personally control the majority of the AI output. From the writing of the song. To the custom harmonies and ad-libs. To the artist, cadences, timing, tempo, staccato, everything. I use AI as a tool to brush the painting I have in my head into a beautiful picture. I am constantly surprised at the INCREDIBLE output of SUNO. I find AI music to be more than just a welcome juxtaposition to traditional recording, but a changing of the guard. Where talent speaks louder than promotion, doctrine, tradition, or money. It’s a chance for one man (or woman) to be the label, a feat never before possible. It’s a chance for the little guy to show “I write songs just as good as you” granted he/she actually can.

What part of the song feels most personal to you?

Denias Nevin: The entire song is DEEPLY personal to me. It is me. I cried while writing it. It felt less like a song and more like a letter to my people telling them hold on, be strong, we got this! It’s for the people in a room full of people that still feel alone. Like me. It’s all the words I wish someone would say to me. But no one ever does. So hopefully I can be the light in the dark for someone else.

What does being part of MetaMorph 2026 mean to you at this moment in the evolution of AI storytelling?

Denias Nevin: Validation means EVERYTHING!! It is such a blessing knowing someone likes your work. Especially so early in my AI artists career. Everyone laughed at me when I told them I was creating an AI artist. Now I have 4 songs nominated in a major international AI music competition and my song MirrorAssignments was a finalist! I have only released 5 songs total for my artist PrittyKitty so for 4 of the 5 songs to be nominated by such an esteemed Award Festival is humbling. The judges legendary. The pinnacle of success. The ranks of which I hope to make one day. For now I am just humble and grateful even to be recognized in such a vast pool of talent.
